Glenfiddich 21 Years Old - Winter Storm Batch 2

In the summer of 1886, with his seven sons and two daughters by his side, William Grant set out to fulfil a lifelong ambition. Together they began building his Distillery by hand, stone by stone. After a single year of work, it was ready and William named it Glenfiddich, Gaelic for Valley of the Deer.
William’s passion, determination and pioneering spirit continues to guide us today. Glenfiddich is one of the few single malt distilleries to remain entirely family owned and is now the World's Most Awarded Single Malt Scotch Whisky, a true reflection of our founder’s innovative nature, passed down through the generations.

Glenfiddich announced that they would be 'pushing the boundaries of Scotch whisky’ by releasing a series of innovative whiskies as part of its new Experimental Series.
Winter Storm Batch 2 continues the nascent tradition of adding rare whiskies (aged 21 and over) to French oak Icewine casks from Niagara. The result is a sweet dram with plenty of tropical fruit and oak notes

Nose:    Slightly fruity and spicy, idea vinous, baking spices, notes of wood/oak, slightly sweet, pleasant.

Taste:    Somewhat spicy, idea of pears, vinous fruitiness, white grapes, spices, oak, some barrel and chocolate.

Finish:    Tart-sweet-tart, spices, notes of wood, hint of chocolate. Finally, slightly sweet and malty.
