Glenfiddich 20 Year Old Mr. Porter Single Malt Whisky

In the summer of 1886, with his seven sons and two daughters by his side, William Grant set out to fulfil a lifelong ambition. Together they began building his Distillery by hand, stone by stone. After a single year of work, it was ready and William named it Glenfiddich, Gaelic for Valley of the Deer.
William’s passion, determination and pioneering spirit continues to guide us today. Glenfiddich is one of the few single malt distilleries to remain entirely family owned and is now the World's Most Awarded Single Malt Scotch Whisky, a true reflection of our founder’s innovative nature, passed down through the generations.

Only 1500 Bottles Worldwide, this rich and indulgent single malt has been curated by MR PORTER Creative Director, Ben Palmer, under the expert guidance of Glenfiddich Malt Master, Brian Kinsman.
Both taste leaders have worked in tandem to develop the perfect final liquid, hand selecting casks of New American oak, ex bourbon and European oak sherry casks, married together to create a deep, silky smooth single malt.
This use of Glenfiddich's innovative Solera technique combines the three casks to create a bigger, richer and more complex flavour; a rare marriage of casks.

Nose:    Malt, flowers, delicate aroma of creamy pear caramel, tannins, burning spices, bubbles of creamy lemonade, bread and spices.

Taste:    An unexpected burst of sweet, fruity effervescent caramel and sweet and sour creamy lemonade, tannins, spices, light sweetness, a little bit of perfume and already fresh fruits and a pinch of vanilla. Very beautiful taste, balanced, deep, lively and interesting.

Finish:    Fruits and an evolving woody story based on an old board.

Note: Product has come from a private collection, minor markings are inevitable and collectors should have reasonable expectations in this regard.
