Springbank Longrow 18 Years Old Limited Edition 2021

Named after another lost distillery of Campbeltown (which once operated right next door to Springbank and whose warehouse now houses our bottling hall), Longrow was first produced in 1973 to provide a peaty, oily and robust component to a blend being created at the time. More heavily peated and double distilled, it has been a staple in the production calendar since the 1990s.
The 2021 release of Longrow 18 Year Old peated Campbeltown Single Malt has been matured in 30% bourbon, 60% sherry and 10% chardonnay casks.

Nose:    Mild smoke, savory, engine lubricant, gasoline. Actually quite sweet and fruity, apple, pear, dried apricot, mashed potato, some nuttiness, greenhouse smells.

Taste:    Subtle smoke and very peppery, wet peat, ashy, more towards citrus fruits, bitter orange, pomelo, lemon. It has a chalky thing going on, a sparkling tonic note with some bitter walnut and nutmeg.

Finish:    Medium to long, tonic water and bitter lemon, dies on toasted wood, ashes and a pinch of pepper.

Please note: Springbank labels are extremely prone to scuffing. We cannot guarantee these items are like new.
