Springbank 5 Year Old 100 Proof Cask Strength Single Malt Whisky

Springbank 5 Year Old Cask Strength Single Malt Scotch Whisky, historically been bottled for the Springbank Society members' club, a 100 Proof bottling.
This 5 Year Old new release was matured 100 percent in bourbon barrels.

    Nose:    Notes of green apples and gorse.

    Taste:    Notes of tomato plant, sunflower seeds and linseed oil with a touch of peat smoke and sweet notes of icing sugar and white chocolate.

    Finish:    Medium with notes of honey and gooseberries.

Springbank distillery is located in Campbeltown, a picturesque Scottish town situated at the southern end of the Kintyre Peninsula on the glorious west coast.
The first reference to Campbeltown whisky is recorded in writing in 1591. Springbank was established in 1828 on the site of Archibald Mitchell’s illicit still, becoming the 14th licensed distillery in Campbeltown. Today, Springbank is one of only three distilleries operating in the Campbeltown area and is the oldest independent family-owned distillery in Scotland.
