Springbank 18 Year Old 2018 Release Single Malt Whisky

Springbank distillery is located in Campbeltown, a picturesque Scottish town situated at the southern end of the Kintyre Peninsula on the glorious west coast.
The first reference to Campbeltown whisky is recorded in writing in 1591. Springbank was established in 1828 on the site of Archibald Mitchell’s illicit still, becoming the 14th licensed distillery in Campbeltown. Today, Springbank is one of only three distilleries operating in the Campbeltown area and is the oldest independent family-owned distillery in Scotland.

This 18 Year Old Single Malt, released in 2018, has been matured in 100% ex-Bourbon casks.

Nose:   Fruity, with herbal and mineral influences. Citrus, oranges, some smoke, pepper, cinnamon. Also some banana now, roasted meat, honey, and the smell of vinyl kitchen floor.

Taste:    A little pepper, sweet, honey, chocolate with a very surprising sour touch. Lemon and pepper.

Finish:    Tickering, sweet and sour, pretty long, hint of smoke, later on some sweet drop.

Please note: Springbank labels are extremely prone to scuffing. We cannot guarantee these items are like new.

Note: Product has come from a private collection, minor markings are inevitable and collectors should have reasonable expectations in this regard.
