Springbank 18 Year Old 2016 Release Single Malt Whisky

Springbank distillery is located in Campbeltown, a picturesque Scottish town situated at the southern end of the Kintyre Peninsula on the glorious west coast.
The first reference to Campbeltown whisky is recorded in writing in 1591. Springbank was established in 1828 on the site of Archibald Mitchell’s illicit still, becoming the 14th licensed distillery in Campbeltown. Today, Springbank is one of only three distilleries operating in the Campbeltown area and is the oldest independent family-owned distillery in Scotland.

This 18 Year Old Single Malt, released in 2016, has been matured in 100% ex-Bourbon casks.  


    Nose:   Sweet refreshing fresh with lemon, peach light maritime accents. Spicy, slightly fruity of banana and oranges. Then spices like cinnamon cloves.

    Taste:    Syrup-like, many tropical fruits dried bananas, coconut. Full start with dark chocolate, malt, and herbs. Tender smoke remains.

    Finish:    Long with gingerbread, liquorice mint. Sea salt turns into fine coffee.
