Springbank 18 Year Old 2021 Release Single Malt Whisky

Springbank distillery is located in Campbeltown, a picturesque Scottish town situated at the southern end of the Kintyre Peninsula on the glorious west coast.
The first reference to Campbeltown whisky is recorded in writing in 1591. Springbank was established in 1828 on the site of Archibald Mitchell’s illicit still, becoming the 14th licensed distillery in Campbeltown. Today, Springbank is one of only three distilleries operating in the Campbeltown area and is the oldest independent family-owned distillery in Scotland.

The 2021 release of Springbank 18 Year Old has been matured in 50% Sherry Casks and 50% Bourbon Casks.

Nose:    Lots of berries and typical Spring traits. Dust, leather, gentle chill and a little prune.

Taste:    The body is liquid and after such an aroma it will immediately disappoint. Light peat, fruit and berry sweetness, pleases the chill that has been preserved from the aroma. In general, a very good balance.

Finish:    Short on light sweetness and peat.

Please note: Springbank labels are extremely prone to scuffing. We cannot guarantee these items are like new.

Note: Product has come from a private collection, minor markings are inevitable and collectors should have reasonable expectations in this regard.
