Springbank 10 Year Old Fino Cask 2025 Release Cask Strength

Fino Cask Matured is the fourth release of the Sherry Wood Series from Springbank distillery, showcasing the Springbank spirit being matured in different styles of sherry casks. The Sherry Wood Series will eventually consist of five different expressions; the Pedro Ximenez was the first one, followed by the Palo Cortado and Amontillado releases.
Distilled in 2015, this limited 2025 release spent its first 4 years in bourbon barrels before undergoing a 6-year finish in Fino sherry casks.
Only 11,400 bottles released.

    Nose:    Dark chocolate, cocoa, sherry, leather, a bit of smoke, minerality, honey and overripe red fruits.

    Taste:    Lightly peaty, nectar, crème brûlée, dried mango, sweet cream, chocolate-covered cherries, slightly salty, with a little red pepper.

    Finish:    Long-lasting nectar, sweet orange, creamy popcorn, roasted malt, minerals and a bit of spiciness.

Springbank distillery is located in Campbeltown, a picturesque Scottish town situated at the southern end of the Kintyre Peninsula on the glorious west coast.
The first reference to Campbeltown whisky is recorded in writing in 1591. Springbank was established in 1828 on the site of Archibald Mitchell’s illicit still, becoming the 14th licensed distillery in Campbeltown. Today, Springbank is one of only three distilleries operating in the Campbeltown area and is the oldest independent family-owned distillery in Scotland.
