Penderyn Copperopolis Icons of Wales Single Malt Whisky

Part of the Icons of Wales series from Penderyn, Copperopolis is the 12th instalment, released in 2025. This release celebrates the copper-coated history of Swansea.
This Welsh whisky was treated to a finish in sweet red wine casks, which imparts a distinct character.

    Nose:    Floral and fruity. Scent of orange blossom, notes of peaches, cherries and orange peel. Sweet vanilla and honey, with a light spice of dried fruits.

    Taste:    Luscious mouthfeel. Rich sweetness of caramel and honey. Bouquet of dried fruits; raisins, figs and light oak spices.

    Finish:   Dry oak remains, with a citrus sweetness and a dust of cocoa to the end.

Penderyn is a Welsh whisky distillery and brand, producing the first commercially available whisky made in Wales since the 19th century. Penderyn produce award-winning single malt whiskies and spirits at their distillery on the foothills of the Brecon Beacons (Bannau Brycheiniog) National Park, Wales, UK. They opened two other distilleries in Llandudno (2021) and Swansea (2023).
Produced at the Penderyn Distillery (the Welsh Whisky Company), Penderyn is a Single Malt Whisky produced in several expressions, e.g. Madeira Finish, Peated, Sherrywood and Portwood.
