Lagavulin 18 Year Old Fèis Ìle 2018 Single Malt Whisky

Lagavulin 18 Year Old released for the Islay Festival, Fèis Ìle 2018. This bottling from Lagavulin was triple matured in refill and rejuvenated American oak hogsheads as well as ex-Bodega European oak butts and bottled at cask strength. The whisky was personally selected by Iain McArthur.
Only 6,000 bottles released.

    Nose:    Strong peat, obvious smoke, dust, raw rice, pineapples and mangoes. Roasted malt, cream frosting, vanilla ice cream, tobacco.

    Taste:    Juice, apple candy and tropical fruits such as mangoes and pineapples. Immediately after, there were obvious peat, vanilla cream mixed with tobacco and a light baked pastry.

    Finish:   Long lasting, light peat, lemon, orange peel oil, roasted malt, light vanilla, tobacco, and some bitterness like tea leaves.
