This is Jack Daniel's 12 Year Old - Batch 3, released in 2025.

Crafted using the distillery’s iconic mash bill of 80% corn, 12% malted barley, and 8% rye, the liquid undergoes the classic Lincoln County Process—being charcoal mellowed drop-by-drop through ten feet of sugar maple charcoal before barrel entry. It is then laid to rest on the upper floors of the historic rickhouses for over a decade. The extreme temperature swings of Tennessee seasons force the whiskey deep into the toasted and charred American white oak barrels, imparting an unprecedented depth of flavour, rich mahogany hue, and velvety mouthfeel.

High-Proof Strength and Masterful Aging

To preserve its bold, complex character, Jack Daniel's 12 Year Old is bottled at a robust 107 Proof (53.5% ABV). This elevated proof strikes a flawless balance between fiery barrel strength intensity and smooth, sweet drinkability. The extended 12-year aging process softens the signature banana and grain notes of young Tennessee whiskey, replacing them with dark, chewy notes of cooked leather, tobacco, and deeply caramelized oak.

Tasting Notes

  • Aroma / Nose: Rich, dark, and decadent. Intensely aromatic sweet pipe tobacco, dark molasses, and warm leather open the bouquet, followed by dried figs, toasted oak, vanilla bean, and a sprinkle of baking spice.
  • Palate / Flavour: Full-bodied, thick, and coating on the tongue. Decadent layers of sweet butterscotch, dark chocolate, and spiced fruitcake blend seamlessly with heavy oak tannins, charred wood, and sweet maple syrup.
  • Finish: Exceptionally long, warm, and lingering. It finishes with a satisfying hug of dry oak spice, dark cocoa, sweet vanilla, and a faint whisper of smoke.

Sip it neat to dissect its complex barrel-aged profile, add a splash of limestone water to unlock its sweeter vanilla notes, or keep it sealed as a crown jewel in your luxury spirits collection.
