Glenfiddich 21 Year Old Gran Reserva pre-2016 Single Malt Whisky

Part of the Grand series, Glenfiddich Gran Reserva has been matured for 21 years, then spent a further four months finishing in Caribbean Reserva rum casks which were hand selected by the Malt Master, Brian Kinsman, adding to its distinctive and complex flavour and thus giving this expression its name.
This is an older release of the Glenfiddich Gran Reserva 21 Year Old.

Nose:    Sweet toffee aromas, spicy, floral with hints of banana, figs, toffee, leather and oak.

Taste:    Soft, slightly drying from the rum influence, spicy with notes of fudge, oak and a slightly smoky hint.

Finish:    A long, slightly sweet, warm finish with notes of fudge and a little peat.

In the summer of 1886, with his seven sons and two daughters by his side, William Grant set out to fulfil a lifelong ambition. Together they began building his Distillery by hand, stone by stone. After a single year of work, it was ready and William named it Glenfiddich, Gaelic for Valley of the Deer.
William’s passion, determination and pioneering spirit continues to guide us today. Glenfiddich is one of the few single malt distilleries to remain entirely family owned and is now the World's Most Awarded Single Malt Scotch Whisky, a true reflection of our founder’s innovative nature, passed down through the generations.
