Dalmore 16 Year Old Luminary No.2 Single Malt Whisky

Part of The Luminary Series from Dalmore, this 16 Year Old Single Malt is the third edition, released in 2024.
It was created by The Dalmore’s award-winning Master Whisky Maker Gregg Glass in collaboration with Melodie Leung of Zaha Hadid Architects. Each bottle is housed in a stunning contemporary presentation case, evoking a bird's eye perspective of The Luminary No.2 Rare sculpture, similar to a vortex.
Luminary No.2 was matured in American white oak ex-Bourbon casks, the single malt is finished in Graham’s Tawny Port pipes and 30 year old Apostoles Sherry casks, with the lightest touch of exceptionally rare peated Dalmore.

Nose:    Manuka honey, crème brûlée and antique leather, with delicate tropical notes of pomegranate, guava and cherry blossom.

Taste:    Ripe figs, Seville oranges, forest fruits, passion fruit, lightly roasted Colombian coffee, fermented black limes and brioche.

Finish:   Fresh roasted chestnuts, sweet wood spices, dark cacao and Alphonso mangoes with a delicate whisper of herbal wood smoke.

The Dalmore Distillery is located in Alness, which is 20 miles North of Inverness. It sits on the banks of the Cromarty Firth overlooking the Black Isle, the "big meadowland", from which it takes its name.
