Dalmore 15 Year Old Luminary No.1 Single Malt Whisky

"The Dalmore" Distillery is located in Alness, which is 20 miles North of Inverness. It sits on the banks of the Cromarty Firth overlooking the Black Isle, the "big meadowland", from which it takes its name.

For over 150 years, The Dalmore has set the standard in multi cask maturation. Hand selected casks, from the world's finest bodegas and wineries are expertly curated to create a sumptuous and layered whisky of legendary finesse.

A pioneer in the art of cask curation, Master Distiller Richard Paterson has been the creative force behind The Dalmore for nearly five decades. Inspired by the vision of The Dalmore’s founder, Sir Alexander Matheson, and the achievements of the Mackenzie family who came before him, Richard is admired across the globe for his passion and innovative flair.

The first in a three-part series from The Dalmore, created in partnership with Dundee's V&A museum and featuring collaborations between luminaries in the fields of whisky and architectural design. This edition sees the creativity of Maurizio Mucciola, protégé of acclaimed architect Kengo Kuma, combined with the skills of master whisky maker Gregg Glass. Initially matured in American oak, the single malt was finished in a combination of Italian Amarone red wine casks and bespoke Kintsugi casks, crafted from a selection of Scottish Tay oak, Japanese mizunara, and American white oak.
