Balblair 18 Year Old Single Malt Whisky

This Balblair 18 Year Old Highland Single Malt Scotch, a rich and autumnal expression, developed and amplified to unexpected heights, while staying perfectly balanced and closely tied to the bright and fruity character of the distillery. It has been matured initially in ex-bourbon casks, followed by first-fill Spanish oak sherry butts.

Nose:    Rich toffee and baked pears shine bright against an elegant backdrop of new leather.

Taste:    A masterful balance of juicy apricots, seasoned oak and vanilla custard.

Finish:    Long and warming with chords of fresh spices and raisins.

The Balblair Distillery was established in 1790 by local man, John Ross, on the estate of the Rosses of Balnagown. Sitting on a remote and unspoiled hillside overlooking the Dornoch Firth in the North of Scotland, Balblair prefers to focus on quality not quantity.
Balblair has a hands-on approach to making their whisky, never rushed, making sure their Single Malt has the most exceptional flavour and character. Balblair’s approach to whisky making is considered, with respect for the past, honoured by their craftspeople for over two centuries: a real testament to the pride and passion of everyone at Balblair.
The distillery released a new range of age-statement expressions in 2019. Each one has its own unique characteristics, but all of them exude Balblair’s True Highland Spirit.
