Ardbeg Smoketrails - Napa Valley Edition 1L Single Malt Whisky

Ardbeg Smoketrails Napa Valley Edition, the third of the series. Each edition in the Ardbeg Smoketrails collection, released in batches every year, is a marriage of Ardbeg matured in American oak casks and Ardbeg matured in secondary casks sourced from around the world.
The third release in the Smoketrails Collection cross the Atlantic for the first time, and lands in the world renowned wine region -Napa Valley. This 3rd edition marries whisky matured in bourbon barrels with whisky matured in Cabernet Sauvignon casks from Napa Valley.

    Nose:    Smoke, dark berries, blackberries, black garlic, pine honey, heavy dark red wine.

    Taste:    Slightly sweet, smoky, tannins, spices, ash, fruits, smoke, pepper.

    Finish:   Medium, with fruits, ash and pepper.

Ardbeg Distillery (Scottish Gaelic: Taigh-stail Àirde Beaga) is a distillery in Ardbeg on the south coast of the isle of Islay, Argyll and Bute, Scotland, in the Inner Hebrides group of islands.
The distillery is owned by Louis Vuitton Moët Hennessy and produces a heavily peated Islay whisky.  The distillery uses malted barley sourced from the maltings in Port Ellen.
The Ardbeg distillery has been producing whisky since 1798 and began commercial production in 1815.
