Stagg Barrel Proof Batch 19 2022 Second Release Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey

Previously known as Stagg Jr., in 2022 it has been rebranded as Stagg. Stagg Batch 19 22B is the first edition with the new batch numbering system, where the batch number is displayed next to the proof on the label (22B = the second release of 2022)
It has been distilled, matured for nearly a decade and bottled at the Buffalo Trace distillery in Kentucky.

    Nose:    Sweet and inviting, cherry and dark chocolate. Melted butter mixed with brown sugar note.

    Taste:    Rich, sweet, chocolate and brown sugar flavours mingle in perfect balance with the bold rye spiciness.

    Finish:   The finish lingers with hints of cherries, cloves and smokiness.

Stagg is a limited production bourbon whiskey distributed by Buffalo Trace Distillery. George T. Stagg was born in 1835 in Garrard County, near the town of Lancaster, Kentucky in the central part of the state. He is one of the founding fathers of what is now the "Buffalo Trace Distillery" in Frankfort, Kentucky and the impact of his life as an adult had an impressive and lasting impact on the bourbon industry.
George T. Stagg purchased the O.F.C. (Old Fire Copper) Distillery in 1878, and, in 1904, renamed the George T. Stagg Distillery, the most dominant American distillery of the 19th century, during a time known as the Gilded Age of Bourbon.
