Springbank Hazelburn 8 Year Old First Edition ‘The Casks’

Springbank distillery is located in Campbeltown, a picturesque Scottish town situated at the southern end of the Kintyre Peninsula on the glorious west coast.
Hazelburn range takes its name from one of Campbeltown’s lost distilleries and was first produced at Springbank Distillery in 1997. Making full use of all three stills, this range is triple distilled and unpeated resulting in a spirit that is creamy, delicate and light.

This Single Malt is part of the trio of 8 Year Old that comprised the first Hazelburn release. The label here depicts "the casks" at Springbank, with "the stills" and "the maltings" completing the set. The label art was painted by artist, Ian Gray. This one is The Casks edition. Only 1,700 bottles have been released for each label.

Nose:   Perfume floral, sweet malt, heather, apricot, orange juice concentrate, sweet wood.

Taste:    Sweet and flowery again, malty sweetness, oak spice and some dryness slowly appear, slightly bitter, very old school.

Finish:    Spicy, sweet, the florality returns and remains creamy and slightly bitter on the palate for a medium length.

Please note: Springbank labels are extremely prone to scuffing. We cannot guarantee these items are like new.
