Springbank Hazelburn 14 Year Old Oloroso 2004

Springbank distillery is located in Campbeltown, a picturesque Scottish town situated at the southern end of the Kintyre Peninsula on the glorious west coast.
Hazelburn range takes its name from one of Campbeltown’s lost distilleries and was first produced at Springbank Distillery in 1997. Making full use of all three stills, this range is triple distilled and unpeated resulting in a spirit that is creamy, delicate and light.

Part of the Hazelburn core range, this is a 14 Year Old bottling of Hazelburn Single Malt from the Springbank distillery. This was matured in fresh and refill Oloroso sherry casks. Distilled in October 2004 and bottled in February 2019. One of 9,900 bottles.

Taste:    Very chocolaty, dark fruits, cherry, blackberries, nice sourness, moves a bit towards peach.

Finish:    Strong cacao, burned caramel, the mint is back, with a nice layer of fruit sweetness behind.
