Peerless Rum Finish Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey

Crafted from grain to bottle in Louisville, Kentucky, the Rum Finish release from Peerless is an amazing bourbon, fascinating for everyone from beginners to connoisseurs.
Exposing Peerless Bourbon to two separate casks allows for two full barrel extractions, the supercharged notes give this whiskey supreme complexity and mouthfeel. Peerless’s dedicated tasting team strategically selects barrels with prominent grain, fruit, and herbaceous notes that complement the extra barrel character well. This ultimately makes for a population of barrels that are packed with flavour, yet balanced enough to uphold the Peerless name.
The ABV varies from batch to batch.

Nose:    The nose leads off with aromas of saltwater taffy with hints of sweet florals and pears. Undertones of toasted coconut and plums join.

Taste:    The first sip rolls over the palate with waves of sliced pineapple fruit, reminiscent of an upside pineapple cake. Notes of cinnamon bread and cherry reduction stand out. The second sip quickly brings forth notes of a piña colada with burnt sorghum, blueberry reduction, and a kiss of sweet mint.

    Finish:   A tropical fruit finish.

The urban Peerless distillery is located in the Bourbon District of downtown Louisville, Kentucky. Originally operating as Worsham Distilling Company, Kentucky Peerless Distilling Company began in Henderson, Kentucky in the early 1880s. In 1889, Peerless Whiskey production began to flourish under the leadership of the entrepreneur Henry Kraver.
After five generations of bourbon makers, The Peerless distillery is now a state-of-the-art facility with cutting-edge technology, making it one of the most automated distilleries. All under one roof, select Kentucky Peerless grains are milled, cooked, fermented, double-distilled, barrelled and bottled as bourbon and rye whiskey.
