Lark Brandy & PX Sherry Cask Single Malt Whisky

In 1992 the Lark household became the first Australian distillery to produce single malt spirit in 154 years. The spirit continued to grow and evolve, leading to the creation of a rich Tasmanian Single Malt Whisky aged in small casks. Finally in 1998, after years in the making, from Bill and Lyn’s kitchen table to Davey Street Bond Store, the first Lark Distillery Single Malt Whisky was released commercially.
The Lark Distillery has seen substantial growth over the years, but the commitment to producing a quality Tasmanian Single Malt has stayed the same. Now situated in the heart of the famous Coal River Valley, the Lark site has grown to accommodate a 1800L Wash Still and a 500L Spirit Still, both running 7 days a week.

Packed with brandy-buzzed pudding, dried fruit, oak and a hint of smoke on the palate, Lark’s limited-release Brandy & PX Sherry Cask will warm you from tongue to toes.
A carefully selected parcel of bourbon, sherry, and white oak casks from Lark’s Bothwell Distillery were married together, before being finished in equal parts ex-Seppeltsfield PX Sherry and their very own ex-Lark Brandy casks. The result is dark and brooding, an exquisite single malt whisky that imparts the deliciously decadent flavours of a winters afternoon fruitcake, crammed with forest fruits and bright citrus peel.

Nose:    The citrus peel, forest fruits and dark cherry of a winter fruitcake with vibrant top notes of Tasmanian brandy and toasted oak.

Taste:    Rich plum pudding and intense oak meet blackberries, dried fruit and a hint of smoke.

    Finish:    Long, deep and rich.
