Jack Daniel's Rested Tennessee Rye Batch 002 Straight Rye Whiskey

In 2012, for the first time in over 100 years the Jack Daniel Distillery had used a new grain recipe and as a result they launched the Tennessee Rye Series. Batch 001 was Unaged released in 2012, followed by Batch 002, Rested released in 2014.
This is Rested Tennessee Rye Whiskey
, that had been maturing in the barrelhouses for over 2 years and was considered a sample in the aging process.

    Nose:    Sweetened cottage cheese in blintzes, pipe tobacco, the smell of an old-timey candy store.

    Taste:    Cherry cordial, without being overly sweet though.

    Finish:   Medium length.
