Infrequent Flyers Benrinnes 16 Year Old 2006 Single Malt Whisky

This 2022 release Cask 6137 from Benrinnes joins the Infrequent Flyers collection from independent bottler Alistair Walker. This Single Malt release has been distilled in 2006 at the Benrinnes distillery. It has been matured for 16 years in Moscatel hogshead.
Only 282 bottles released.

    Nose:    Citrusy, lemon zest. Grated ginger. Pistachio nuts and boiled sweets.

    Taste:    Opens with an immediate pepper note. This then retreats backstage to allow the deeper flavours to reveal themselves. Quite elegant, with worm-tub driven complexity. There's a dessert style quality at play, almonds and molten sugars, but it's well balanced. The fruit force is strong here - apricots, raisins and oven-baked Bramley apples.
