Highland Park Earl Magnus 15 Year Old 1st Edition

Part of Highland Park Magnus Collection, Earl Magnus is the first release. A collection of three stunning bottles designed by Stoelze Flaconnage to replicate bottlings from 150 years ago.
This Limited Edition takes its name from earl Magnus, an 11^th century Christian who was murdered by his cousin. The Cathedral of Kirkwall was built in memory of Earl Magnus.  The label of these whiskies features an image of the saint taken from the stained glass window in the Cathedral. The bottle is presented in a wooden crate etched with Highland Park branding and the tale of Earl Magnus.
Earl Magnus was matured for 15 years with the addition of some casks from the early 1990s, it was released in 2009.
Only 5,976 bottles released.

    Nose:    Pineapple, apricot, melon, apples, even some lime. After a while you catch some weed, vanilla and flowers with sandalwood, plum wine and smoke.

    Taste:    Sweet, oily with white chocolate, citrus and marzipan, as well as honey and nuts.

    Finish:    Long and sweet with lemon, salt and ocean notes.
