Hennessy V.S.O.P Very Superior Old Pale Cognac

Hennessy V.S.O.P was commissioned in 1817 by the future King George IV of England to charm guests at a colourful gathering. From the encounter of two visionaries was born the first Hennessy ‘Very Superior Old Pale’, known today as Hennessy V.S.O.P.
It’s the very first passionate achievement of Hennessy’s original Master Blender, Jean Fillioux, whose family has continued to perfect it for eight generations over two centuries.
The new Hennessy V.S.O.P design is embellished with luxurious and eco-friendly details such as golden graphics and embossing. Rich adornments include the eye-catching red color of the giftbox and its non-coated paper for a softer touch.

Nose:    Vibrant ruby-meets-amber creating an inviting glow.

Taste:    The rich, inviting aroma of sweet and fresh apricot. Cheerful notes that leave you longing for more.

Finish:    Voluptuous vanilla meets mellow oak for a smooth flavour that leaves a lasting impression.

The Hennessy Cognac house was founded in 1765 by Richard Hennessy, an Irish man who had previously served as an officer in the army of Louis XV. Hennessy became the world's leading exporter of brandy in the 1840s, a status it has never lost. It was one of the first marques to sell bottles rather than casks of cognac and the first cognac house to use star ratings, and the gradings V.S.O.P. and XO, which are today used by most other cognac producers.
Hennessy has a long-established tradition.
For nearly 200 years, the Hennessy family has entrusted the Fillioux family with its cognacs. This lineage has remained unbroken for two centuries, with eight generations of Master Blenders.
Today, there are thousands of different eaux-de-vie in Hennessy’s cellars. The Hennessy reserve is one of the largest collections of eaux-de-vie in the world, with over 350,000 barrels stored in 65 cellars. This inventory is the legacy of Hennessy’s predecessors, which they have treasured for over 200 years.
