GlenAllachie 11 Year Old 2014 Sinteis Series Part 3 Limited Edition

Part of the GlenAllachie Sinteis Series, this is the third release, an 11 Year Old Speyside Single Malt Scotch Whisky, matured in French Limousin virgin oak and Oloroso sherry casks. This Limited Edition expression was distilled in 2014 and bottled at cask strength.
The Sinteis Series is the creation of Master Blender Billy Walker, whose 53-year career has shaped The GlenAllachie’s wood-forward approach to whisky-making. Named after the Scottish Gaelic word for synthesis, the ‘Sinteis’ Series explores dual-cask maturation pairing virgin oak barrels with traditional sherry casks.

    Nose:    Orange zest, nutmeg and dried orchard fruits, with honeycomb, maraschino cherries, mocha and crystallised brown sugar.

    Taste:    Heather honey, spiced orange and baked apple, followed by winter truffle, muscovado sugar and cinnamon.

    Finish:   Long with hazelnuts and mocha.
