Evan Williams Kentucky’s 1st Distiller Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey

The Original Kentucky Heritage

Since 1783, Evan Williams has stood as a titan of American whiskey. Named after Kentucky’s first commercial distiller, this signature Black Label expression is the benchmark for value-driven Bourbon. It is a "sour mash" masterpiece, charcoal-mellowed and aged longer than required by law to ensure a smooth, rich character that has made it a staple in homes and bars globally.

Crafted with Consistency

As a flagship product of the family-owned Heaven Hill Distillery, Evan Williams Kentucky Straight Bourbon maintains a high-standard mash bill that delivers a classic "high-corn" sweetness balanced by rye spice. Whether you are pouring your first glass of whiskey or stocking a high-volume bar, this bourbon offers:

  • Time-Honoured Aging: Matured for several years in new charred American oak barrels for deep colour and flavour.
  • Award-Winning Pedigree: Frequently recognized as the "Best Buy" in the spirits industry for its consistent quality.

Tasting Notes: Classic & Charismatic

  • Nose: Deep vanilla and mint, with subtle undertones of oak and dark berries.
  • Palate: Notes of oak, brown sugar, and caramel. The mouthfeel is light yet flavourful, showcasing a balance of sweet corn and spicy rye.
  • Finish: Medium to long, ending with a clean, dry, and slightly peppery warmth.

Evan Williams is a brand of Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey distilled at the Heaven Hill distillery in Louisville, Kentucky and bottled in Bardstown, Kentucky by the Heaven Hill company.
In 1783, Evan Williams, a Welsh immigrant to North America, opened Kentucky’s First Distillery on the banks of the Ohio River. The bottle label of the best-selling variant, the black label, emphasizes this heritage, it bears the inscriptions ‘Since 1783’ and ‘Kentucky's 1st distiller’. Today, Evan Williams Bourbon is still produced the right way, using the same time-honoured methods.
