Chivas Royal Salute 29 Year Old Pedro Ximénez Sherry Cask Finish

A special edition Royal Salut 29 Year Old Blended Scotch Whisky finished in Pedro Ximénez sherry casks.
In 1988, Queen Elizabeth II made her first official visit to Spain, and to celebrate the event, Royal Salute released an exquisite 29 Year Old blend. Finished for the first time ever in the finest Pedro Ximénez sherry casks from Spain, the result is a remarkable aromatic and spicy whisky, capturing the richness of this prestigious sherry within Royal Salute’s unmistakable signature.

Nose:    Aromatic and spicy on the nose, this superb blend entertains with notes of sandalwood, orange, liquorice and plump sultanas.

Taste:    The flavours perfectly complement the nose, with ripe plums in honey syrup, treacle toffee and chocolate-coated almonds.

Finish:   The finish is long, sweet and seductively spicy.

Royal Salute was created in 1953 to mark the coronation of her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and was named after the 21 Gun Royal Salute, which is fired from the Tower of London for royal celebrations.
