Bruichladdich Rock'ndaal 02.1 Fèis Ìle 2023 16 Year Old

The first of two Limited Edition Fèis Ìle 2023 festival releases, Bruichladdich Rock’ndaal 02.1, is matured in a mix of bourbon and Sauternes casks. At 16 years old, the sweet influence of the French oak perfectly complements the signature fruity and floral notes of the single malt.
Only 2,500 bottles released.

Nose:    Fruity and floral aromas. Caramelized apple, light spice with notes of wood and hazelnut.

Taste:    A medley of fresh tropical fruit is immediate on the palate, with ripe melon, honeyed peach, lychee and sweet mango coming to the fore.

Finish:   Medium length, with fruits and nutty notes.

Bruichladdich was built in 1881 by the Harvey brothers, who owned the Dundashill and Yoker grain distilleries in Glasgow.
Unlike their neighbouring distilleries from the island of Islay, the Bruichladdich range is made without peat. Without the influence of smoke, they expose the brilliance of our raw ingredient – barley. Stepping further outside of whisky tradition, they have traced ingredients from origin to bottling, embracing every growing season, the subtlety of changing barley varietals and the methods applied in growing them.
