Bruichladdich 20 Year Old First Edition Single Malt Whisky

This was the first 20 Year Old to be released after the re-opening of Bruichladdich distillery by Mark Reynier. It was matured in American oak bourbon casks for 20 years and was bottled in 2002.
Bruichladdich 20 Year Old First Edition was awarded Gold & Overall Winner by Scottish Field Merchant’s Challenge in 2002.

Nose:    Citrus fruits, honey, mature pears and apples. Some honey melon and sweet summer fruits.

Taste:    Full of sweetness and a lovely heat. Then the spices appear, as well as some almonds. Some citrus and green apples, but also oak wood and oily.

Finish:    Medium in length. Again, the spices are present and in combination with a nice warmth and some bitter almonds.

Note: Product has come from a private collection, minor markings are inevitable and collectors should have reasonable expectations in this regard.
