Bowmore 23 Year Old Lovers Transformed Frank Quitely

Lovers Transformed 23 Year Old Single Malt from Bowmore is the third release of its acclaimed collaboration with graphist artist and illustrator Frank Quitely.
Lovers Transformed is a duo of Limited Editionds, travel-retail exclusive releases: a 23 Year Old and a 36 Year Old. Like previous releases ‘No Corners to Hide’ and ‘The Changeling’, the Lovers Transformed whiskies are inspired by a myth from the island of Islay, this time the story of the daughter of a Pictish King from the East, who fell in love with a captured Celtic warrior from the West.
The Lovers Transformed Single Malt was finished in refill Pedro Ximenez and Oloroso Sherry-seasoned European Oak casks.
Only 8,000 bottles released.

Nose:    Atlantic Sea salt, toffee, tanned leather and stewed apples.

Taste:    Golden maple syrup, dark chocolate, liquorice root and tannin oak.

Finish:   Earthy rich peat with a long, honeyed sweetness.
