Balvenie 17 Year Old The Week of Peat / Story No.2

The Balvenie Stories collection is designed to bring to life the tales of 'character, endeavour and craft' of those at Balvenie through the generations.
'The Week of Peat' is the second in the series. Since 2002, one week of the year is set aside at Balvenie to use peat in their malting kiln, and the whisky produced from it is set aside for an annual limited release.
Released in 2021 this is the 17 Year Old version as opposed to the 14 of previous releases.

Nose:    Gentle sweet peat smoke, lighter floral notes and delicate butterscotch honey.

Taste:    Velvety and round to taste with the peat smoke balancing citrus flavours, oaky vanilla and blossom honey.

Finish:    Gentle smoke with a lingering and creamy vanilla sweetness.

Note: Product has come from a private collection, minor markings are inevitable and collectors should have reasonable expectations in this regard.
