Part of the Anthology Series from Ardbeg, this is the second release - The Unicorn's Tale 14 Year Old Limited Edition.
The Ardbeg Anthology Collection is inspired by tales of unbelievable encounters: legendary brushes with the strangest creatures ever purported to stalk Islay. The Unicorn's Tale was inspired by the tale of the lesser-spotted Islay Unicorn, a shrouded mystery whether it was a real unicorn or merely a Shetland pony.
This legendary edition was matured for 14 years in a marriage of aromatic Madeira and classic bourbon casks.

    Nose:    Rich and aromatic, with baked banana bread, syrupy sponge pudding, treacle, tropical fruits and eucalyptus oil.

    Taste:    Zesty lime, sweet peaches, rich smoked fruit, baked bread, antiseptic lozenges, creosote and aniseed.

    Finish:   Lingering menthol, clove, wood smoke and camphor.

Ardbeg Distillery (Scottish Gaelic: Taigh-stail Àirde Beaga) is a distillery in Ardbeg on the south coast of the isle of Islay, Argyll and Bute, Scotland, in the Inner Hebrides group of islands.
The distillery is owned by Louis Vuitton Moët Hennessy and produces a heavily peated Islay whisky.  The distillery uses malted barley sourced from the maltings in Port Ellen.
The Ardbeg distillery has been producing whisky since 1798 and began commercial production in 1815.
